So good....it even cures PMS!!!

This was Zip's 3rd piece!!!!! I'm going to have to make another one tomorrow! Everyone couldn't get enough.

I made this cake tonight. It was as easy as opening a box cake, and it was soooooooo good. Super moist, and pure chocolate! I did put cream cheese frosting on it, but I wouldn't do it again. I think German choc. frosting or even whipped cream would be good. I love that it has coffee in it, although the cake has no coffee flavor. Try it!!!! It won't let you down!

Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 35 Minutes
Ready In: 45 Minutes
Servings: 12

"The absolute best, richest, and easiest one-bowl chocolate cake recipe ever! It's great topped with chocolate cream cheese frosting!"

Hugs 4 Life day......beautiful!!!!

2009 Hugs For LIFE at Murray Park
It was a perfect day....around 87 degrees. G-pa, me, and the boys got to the park around 11:30. Randy was on his Wheeler charity bike run, so he wasn't able to make it this year. Bummer for him!! It is something we always look forward to. Below are the cars that each of us chose as our show favorite......I don't think you will be surprised with our choices!

Zip chose this Mustang Cobra

Pop loved this 2010 Camero.....It was so cool inside

And of course.....my muscle car! 1970 Dodge Challenger. I owned one of these in High School. Same orange color, yet it had a few more rust spots, and the passenger door would fly open as I went around a corner, and it got about 7 miles to the gallon. It only used 1 full case of oil a week?! Mind you, I worked at JC Penney for $4.25/hr. I was gas and oil poor! But other than that, the car was rockin' and I looked GOOOOD in it!!! (I had furry seat covers, a mirror muff, deafening cassette stereo, and roach clip feathers hanging from the rear view. I WAS the 80's poster child!)

This model was my runner up. A bar stool on wheels. I'm pretty sure it could have been the inspiration for the "jazzy". Do you think it would make it OK to drink and drive?? I'm sure that in most small towns in Idaho, Arkansas, and Montana it is totally legal.

Clint Eastwood Rocks!!!

Loved this movie!!! So many great lines to use.....if only I could remember them!?@?!.... It is a must see! Be prepared for MAJOR racial slurs and two very graphic scenes. It is worth sitting through.....there are some good lessons learned. Someone...I won't name who, had a copy of this before it comes out on video. What is that called??? Pirated??? Let's just say, I watched it at that somebodies home in AZ.

Blinding shine head!

In pictures, I am noticing that my face always looks shiny and greasy. Does it look like this in real life, or is it the flash bouncing off the fore head?????

Thanks a lot my peeps, for never telling me my face looks like we should be frying eggs on it!!!!! (above)

You could have suggested that I use THIS!!!!! (above) Where's the love???

That just CHAPS MY HIDE!!!!!
It only took 4.25 cows to make Randy's chaps....Daddy long legs! I hope P.E.T.A doesn't come knocking on our door!
The following pictures are from the photo shoot for the new "CHiPs" auditions. Randy is trying out for the role of John (He really can't be Ponch.....Randy doesn't have brown skin, black hair, or blinding white teeth). I think he has a good chance of landing the job......can't you see the resemblance????
That's the man I love!!!

Randy (above)
John (below)
I KNOW!!!! It's hard to tell the two apart

Lucky 13!!!!!

Last night the Braves pounced on the Tigers!!!

Braves~11 Tigers~1

We are now 13 & 2

Yea!! Go Braves!!!!

Do I have a curse put on my head??????

Do you think that the Indian family in AZ (see previous post) could have put some kind of voodoo evil spirit hex on me???? Ya know, like for me to lose valuable things???? That lady was shooting fire through her eyes at me. Holy crap!!!! It could happen!!

Graduation Day for Zip

Friday at 11:00 was Zip's 2nd grade graduation!!

Ms. Sue was Pop's all time favorite teacher. She just loves him!

Some of Zip's friends/classmates.... starting at top left: Noah, Aiden, Jade (has crush on Zip), and Noah again....Noah is Zip's best friend
Da Boyz!!!!

Zip showing off his HONOR ROLL awards with his amazing teacher, Mrs. Robb. She will be his teacher again next year for 3rd grade. Yea!!!! She also gave him 4 other class awards: Super story writer, Great in Language, and Punctuation champ!

G-pa

Maw

After the ceremony, and we all dried our tears, the school had hot dogs, chips and sodas for everyone. We stayed for a while so that Pop and Zip could socialize with the other kids, and so that I could reminisce with the other parents about how cute and smart our kids are! Most of the children have grown up with Pop since kindergarten. After leaving Zip's school, I dropped off Pop at his school for the end of the year "Student Council" party. He said it was a lot of fun. They played videos, ate pizza, and drank Sprite. I am very proud of my boys, and their strong commitment to their education. Randy and I ask, "How did we get so lucky?????"

Miss Kitty prime suspect

I have been asked by a few people if Miss Kitty could be involved in the disappearance of my valuable items. I see how you all could think this would be an option. It is definitely a logical avenue one should investigate.......that's if you didn't know Miss Kitty!

1) She would be too lazy to actually pick something up, dig a hole, and hide it.

2) She is a well educated dog, smart and attentive.....but a total ditz for planning a heist.

3) She knows what my ring meant to me....she loves me too much to hurt me.

I think we can cross Miss Kitty off of America's Most Wanted.

I'm probably going to get hate mail for this one..

Warning: This post is not for those who can not handle or who does not appreciate swear words! Do not read!!!

I know that they say...."A person who swears, sounds uneducated"

Well then, I must sound like a total back wood, illiterate, hillbilly because I LOVE MY EFIN TRUCKER MOUTH!!!!! Swearing is therapeutic and makes your point with an exclamation!!! I try not to swear extreme profanities in front/at the children, but there have been times that I have said to them, "Pull your head out of your a**" or "G*d Dam**t! What the hell?" or "Pick up your sh**". These phrases may not be all fancy shmancy, Harvard educated words.... but, let me tell you....... My swearing has given the boys a valuable education that they can't learn just anywhere! It is the school of: 'When mom swears.....you listen!!!!' OR ELSE!!!! I don't know what the OR ELSE is...but they are really scared of it! :) Damn right!!!

A few other of my favorite potty mouth verbiage:

Are you shi*ting me?
Oh my hell!!!
Efin A!!
G*dDam* Sons-a-b*tches!
P*sses me right off!
You're an a**hole!! (frequently used while driving)

Friends Rock!!! No, I'm not 12....I just sound/act like I am

I don't want to sound straight out of Jr. High but, friendships are very important in women's lives. We NEED someone to relate to us, we NEED someone to give us their fashion opinion, we NEED someone to agree that men can suck sometimes, we NEED a great laugh, we NEED a kind ear to listen, and we NEED a shoulder to cry on. We NEED friends.......they are food for our beautiful soul.

"A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway."
- Fr. Jerome Cummings

"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked."
- Bernard Meltzer

"Tis the privilege of friendship to talk nonsense, and have her nonsense respected."
- Charles Lamb

Old times/good friends...or is it Old friends/good times

I know you're all looking at CherRee's cleavage and my shiny head.....they both just kinda say, "hello!!! look at me!!"

Paula, CherRee and I met at the Puck last night. The three of us haven't been together in about 3 1/2 years! It's hard to believe, since we were going on girls trips with each other every month! We laughed our asses off about some of the fun things we used to do.....the horrible outfits we wore.....and how each of us add our little somethin', somethin' to the group. We spent 3 hours filling each other in on lost times. Lots of love and laughter between us....hell, we've helped raise each other into our 30's! These are good gals! And damn!!!!! We've still got it going on girls!!! Here's to you Paula and CherRee!
Still no wedding ring.......

OR car keys.......
OR Zip's baseball hat!

The seance DID NOT work.....

I'm filing the claim tomorrow.......Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!

Freakn' nail biter!!!!

The Braves played the Dodgers tonight.......a very important game! It was to hold our 2nd place title. I had to go buy sunflower seeds so that I had something to do with my hands and mouth....otherwise, there would have been swear words and hand gestures thrown!!! The Dodgers are good, but not THAT good! We won in over-time....

Braves ~ 4 Dodgers ~ 3

We are 12 & 2

Yea! Go Braves!!!

Memorial Estates

Randy's Grandparents....I thought some of our DeVries family would like to see the markers

Pop and I went to the cemetery where Damon is buried. It was a gorgeous day with many colorful arrangements placed at headstones. The Tongan families stayed true to their tradition by camping out for the day......and I mean buckets of KFC, the football and frisbee, large sun umbrellas and lawn chairs. Anyone who has been to Memorial Estates have seen the family reunions first hand.
I was looking for Uncle Mike's (Jack's brother) marker when I came across Randy's grandparents (Jack's parents). I had forgotten they were there too. The DeVries' are in the area East of Damon. Pop and I sprawled out on the grass.....just having a moment together. I realized that with Damon's picture right there, we could all be in a pic at the same time! Pop and I were laughing and having fun....I know Damon would think it was funny too.

Visiting the llamas

Two of these things are not like the others....two of these things are kinda the same....I find it ironic that the postion of the llamas fits the position of the boys....we got albino and oreo.

After we left the cemetery, we stopped by to show some love to Uncle Randy. He is in Lake Powell this week, so we weren't able to see him. As we pulled into his drive, we admired Aunt Janin's pride and joy.....the motor home. We also were able to visit her llamas. Aunt Janin took very good care of them by walking them and turning them out in her yard to eat the grass. The boys were afraid to get too close.....apparently they've seen too many episodes of, "when animals attack".
**This post is for our out of state family. I know they wish they could be here today to see her marker, motor home and llamas :) I hope this give you a little piece to make you feel like you were here.
