{The cost of taking kids to a concert}

Green Day discount concert tickets: $25.00

Taxes, surcharges, pet licensing fee, napkin, beer, pretzel, hot dog, popcorn and sodas: $93.27

Authentic MUST HAVE concert t-shirts and wrist bands: $80.00

Watching my boys' face and rocking out with them for their FIRST concert:
Worth every $100 dollars spent!!!!!! PRICELESS!
Riv thought this background was "awesome"!
It looked like it was really on fiyahhhhhhh!
Franz Ferdinand opened and rocked it out!!!!! Unexpectedly kick ass!
Favorite line in a song: "Flick your cigarette and kiss me"
Verizon had a booth that let you hold a guitar, and they would take a picture and send it to the jumbo-tron. I don't think they really did though. We never saw ANYONE'S pic doing this. Fun anyway!

Paula and I agreed, that this IS one of the BEST concerts we have EVER been to! And that is saying A LOT!! Paula has been to over 150 concerts! Not exaggerating!

Crazy.....but true...... All of those kids and freaks running around, and who do we walk right into???? Mel and Sadie!!! (Randy's cousins) Sadie is probably Green Day's #1 fan! I'm not kidding! She knows every word to every song. They were in G/A, so we didn't see them again after that.......but I was wondering all night, if it was Sadie and Mel that got the super-soaker and toilet paper shooter aimed at them :0

This is a snippet of Paula and Zip. Sorry the lighting sucks, but you can at least hear part of the concert!!!!!

One last thing: Parents: I encourage you to take your kids to their first concert. There will be a time when all they want, is for you to drop them at the door and they will hook up with their friends to rock out. Take these moments while you can......it truly is priceless!

YES-now we have another excuse to go to every cool concert. We've got to take the kids while they'll let us. Just wait until they are big enough to stand in general admission.....we can teach them all our tricks.

You and the boys had the ROCK on that night, thats for sure. But, what I want to know is where was the old man? and dont tell me he had to get up to go to work! Tell him the next one you all go to he goes as well. He'd sort of look funny doing his John Travolta dance moves, but hey the crowd would love it! I think I might have a pic of him with a mullet!
