Shelby's pre-school graduation

Shelby's pre-school made an exception for me to attend a practice graduation on Thursday. The real thing was on Sunday, and we were on our way home.....somewhere between Flagstaff and Page when the ceremony was beginning. The 5 year old play list consisted of "hippopotamus", "Jack and Jill", "Humpty Dumpty", and many other favorites that we all knew at the pre-kinder age. Shelby was cast as one of the kings horses that couldn't put humpty back together. She played her part well and knew all the words to the rest of the songs. I was impressed! It was fun to see the other children in the line up. We had sleepy, nose picker/eater, hyper cheerleader, mousey bookworm, the jock, and the rich kid dressed in Gap clothing. I got teary eyed a few times. It was surreal to believe that Shelb was old enough to be doing this. I am grateful to have been there. Shelb is on her way to all day kindergarten!!!!
