{Reality sucks...keep dreaming}

2002
Heber Valley Railroad to meet the famous,
Thomas the Tank Engine
Jax 2 yrs
River 4 yrs
(I don't have to bend to hug them anymore)

They were so excited to wear their Thomas outfits and ride the real Thomas train.
That is, until we actually spent the $60 rip-off tickets for the family to ride Thomas.
The train went backwards about a mile, then forward to it's original parking.
Riv was pissed!!!!
This ride was a dream of his for SOOOO long,
and it was done in 15 minutes!!!!
He continued to love his best friend "Thomas the Tank Engine", but some of the magic was lost for him.
Sometimes it's better to keep dreams.....
a dream.
Reality isn't always as much fun.

So true. Reality just sucks sometimes.

Long before we had kids of our own we took Jay D's nephew, Griffin, on this rip off adventure. He loved it even though the train ride was Lame Lame Lame. When the time came a couple years ago to take our own kid, we knew what to expect so we weren't quite as bugged about paying the ridiculous price to ride Thomas. Elliott still talks about it and asks me to bring up "the Thomas pictures" on our computer for him to look at.

I remember when the boys were this little.....how on earth has so much time passed?

Thomas the train ride...60.00

Seeing Randy scrunched up in a small Thomas the Train...priceless.
He missed the train to Hooterville.
